Come do a service project with Smith Alums and their families! Share is a nonprofit organization which focuses on food distribution, education, and advocacy. Every month Share Food Project’s emergency relief programs bring food to over 600,000 low-income Philadelphia families. Last spring, the Smith College Club of Philadelphia helped out at Share and packed approximately 500 boxes of food that was distributed to low-income seniors. Volunteers should wear comfortable shoes and warm clothes. Do bring family members. Children are encouraged to attend to as long as their parents supervise them. Share has a large free parking lot and is near multiple Septa bus routes.
